Mission
The idea behind the One Shot One Kill Open came right after my first real face to face encounter with the under representation of Pump. After writing an article regarding this instance (click here to read article) several of us sat down to try to figure out what we could do to make it right. What exactly did we as non pump tournament paintball players receive that pump players didn’t? The bottom line was attention and awards. The basis of this tournament is to shine the spotlight on Pump and pump players only. We aren’t simply having a “pump division” as other events do, but rather catering to the needs of a purely pump tournament. The staff behind OSOKO is doing it’s best to get a running start for our first event on July 5th at The Compound in Lake Elsinore, CA. We are working non stop to make sure that at the end of the day, every team that plays feels like they were able to get something out of this tournament. Whether it be an interview on www.pbgossip.com, one of our cash and product prizes, or simply knowing that all this is for pump, we hope you are able to enjoy what we are trying to do.
We plan on making OSOKO a three part series which will include a series prize. We will try to make every event better than the last and we will be asking for every players input that we can before the next event.
There are seemingly dozens of speedball semi auto tournaments, and there should be no reason as to why there can not be several pump tournaments. OSOKO wasn’t designed to take away business from other events, but rather give all Pump players the option to play an additional tournament. Perhaps not everyone can travel to other events and this is more local, or perhaps they like the prizes better. Whatever the reason, we are here to be another option for all pump players. Every tournament series should have the main goal of helping promote paintball no matter which format, that’s what OSOKO is all about.
Thank You,
Allan Gungormez and the OSOKO Crew.
